NEW JERSEY (PIX11) -- On Friday, Haledon Mayor Michael Johnson declared a state of emergency because of the ongoing Paterson water crisis.

“We still have parts of town that haven’t received water at all,” said Johnson. “The impact is serious and everybody is frustrated.”

Many residents still do not have enough water pressure to flush toilets or take showers. “We don’t even know the timeline, where it’s going to end,” said Johnson. “So, at least for a little while, we’re going to have that boil water advisory.”

A boil water advisory remains in effect until further notice for all four impacted towns: Paterson, Prospect Park, Haledon, and North Haledon.
