NEW JERSEY (PIX 11) — The Passaic Valley Water Commission announced Friday night that the boil water advisory has been lifted for part of Paterson in the areas of Broadway, all streets South of Broadway, East Spruce Street, as well as West of Route 20.

In Haledon, however, the advisory remains in effect until further notice. At a bustling water distribution center in the borough, residents continue to pull up in cars to receive free cases of water as they endure day eight of water outages.

The site is equipped with private showers and large water tanks at the Haledon Recreation Center — services that will remain available for as long as needed, according to Mayor Michael Johnson.
