CONROE, Texas — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a new statement Thursday criticizing a federal judge’s decision to grant bond to Noe Fermin Guerrero-Mendieta, describing him as a “dangerous criminal alien” who has “repeatedly endangered public safety” since entering the United States illegally.
Guerrero-Mendieta was first arrested in 2014 for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman and was convicted of driving while intoxicated in 2015, ICE said. The agency claims his behavior has continued to pose a threat.
