A week after the announcement that chef Lawrence Weeks left his notable roles at Ensō and North of Bourbon , the well-known and award-winning chef has shared his next move.

Weeks, a 2024 James Beard Award semifinalist , plans to open a concept called Murray’s Creole Pub at the current location of Pints & Union, 1576 Bardstown Road, in Louisville's Deer Park neighborhood this fall, according to an Instagram post from Friday afternoon.

"I started cooking for legacy, culture and honoring the ones who came before me," the post, which appeared to be written by Weeks, stated.

With Weeks' departure as executive chef from Ensō, the acclaimed Japanese-meets-Southern restaurant abruptly closed as of Aug. 8, the Courier Journal previously reported.
