A Delaware County woman who has been charged in the death of her three-year-old daughter had previously been experiencing hallucinations and hearing voices, according to court documents.

Kelly Brown, 40, of Havertown, has been charged with manslaughter after her three-year-old daughter, Fiona Brown, and her 13-year-old dog Penelope were found dead in a car in in Milford, Maine, on Aug. 9.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Brown’s mother had told investigators that her daughter had been hallucinating and hearing voices, and had been posting what she called “disturbing” videos to Facebook.

Two other witnesses said they had also noticed a change in Brown’s behavior, with a cousin saying that she had recently become “quite emotional” and was talking about Norse gods.
