OMAHA, Neb. —

Elkhorn Public Schools unveiled the timeline for when construction of its two elementary schools will be finished.

We first brought you this story when parents expressed safety concerns for students attending Iron Bluff and Stone Pointe elementary schools.

Then KETV Investigates found the schools were in violation of city code.

Now, the district sent a letter to parents saying the tentative deadline for construction is months into the school year.

In that timeline, Iron Bluff won't have landscaping and its fire panel completed until Sept. 5.

While work on the C Wing at Stone Pointe won't be completed until Halloween.
