NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - More emergency services could be coming to the Bordeaux neighborhood of Nashville.

Officials said a proposal being voted on at next week’s Metro Council meeting would give final approval to build a badly needed firehouse.

The current Fire Station 24 along Clarksville Pike is at the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced.

A Memorandum of Understanding between Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools and the Department of General Services will transfer the field near the Northwest Family YMCA for the fire station to be built. A sports field for the school to use would also be built on the property under this agreement.
