GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A woman accused of stealing money from a Grand Island non-profit is going to trial court.

Ember Bravo, 32, is charged with theft by unlawful taking. She’s accused of stealing $1,881 from Willow Rising, which provides emergency and supportive services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Hall, Howard, Hamilton and Merrick Counties.

Court records show Bravo waived an evidence hearing Thursday and her case was transferred to Hall County District Court for possible trial. An arraignment hearing is scheduled Sept. 9. At arraignment, a suspect typically pleads guilty or not guilty to the charges faced.
