CARBON COUNTY -- A collision between a private semi-truck and paver on Interstate 80 in Carbon County resulted in three injuries and the driver being cited, according to a Thursday, Aug. 14, press release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
On the afternoon of Aug. 13 at approximately 1:45 p.m, Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) troopers were dispatched to the two-vehicle crash. A privately owned tractor-trailer hauling a horse trailer was westbound at mile marker 260, following a commercial tractor-trailer. This area was a construction zone, with the westbound portion reduced to a single lane. Pavers for a contracted construction company were setting up to resume paving, causing traffic to slow.
