MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — It's college move-in day at the University of South Alabama, and the school is housing more students than ever.

3,000 students are unpacking this weekend as they move into their on-campus housing at USA, which is a new school record.

But on campus housing isn't the only record that could be broken this year. USA President Jo Bonner told News 5 that this incoming freshman class might be able to hold a record of their own.

"I don't know the exact number of students. We won't know that for probably two or three weeks," Bonner said. "But I will tell you, we're going to have one of the largest freshmen classes in the history of the university."
