CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - Canyon ISD high school bands are gearing up for the 2025 Marchathon and Performance this Saturday.

Event organizers say the Marchathon not only celebrates the start of the new school year but also serves as a fundraiser to support the bands’ upcoming competitive performances.

The Canyon High School Soaring Pride Band will kick off Marchathon on Aug. 16 at 7 a.m.

The march route will begin at Crestview Elementary then go through Northridge and Hunsley Hills Boulevard.

The 164-member band will perform on the Canyon Square around 8:30 a.m.

The march route will then continue through Canyon Intermediate, University Church of Christ, and Canyon High School.

Organizers say Canyon High’s marching theme, “Nomadic,” will be featured in stadium performances this fall.
