One of the biggest and oldest parks in the South Bay is looking for an upgrade.
Rohr Park covers dozens of acres in Bonita, and the City of Chula Vista wants to know what people want to add, improve, drop, or re-imagine.
The park is home to the Chula Vista Live Steamers , miles of sidewalks and walking trails, an equestrian center, a dog park, softball fields, playgrounds, and dozens of picnic areas.
Some of the nearly 60-acre Rohr Park is getting long in the tooth. So, Chula Vista is asking park guests to “Help Shape Rohr Park” by hosting workshops and public events to gather opinions.
“We have a large list of what people want, and so we're trying to narrow that down,” said Parks and Recreation Director Frank Carson.
