A Teesside nursery’s safeguarding policy and arrangements are “ineffective”, according to Ofsted.
Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery’s provision is “inadequate” as inspectors raised issues with all areas of The Crescent facility. “The provider's safeguarding arrangements are ineffective,” the Ofsted report states. "For example, leaders fail to notify the local authority designated officer and Ofsted when allegations are made against staff.”
It continues: “The provider's adopted written safeguarding policy does not include the correct action to be taken in the event of an allegation being made against a member of staff. This is a breach in requirements and compromises children's safety.”
