GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. —

A country music star, a birthday sign, a pink cowboy hat, and a gift with a promise were all it took to make Kaydence Dorethy's 8th birthday special.

Tickets to Brad Paisley's Truck Still Works World tour were a gift that kept giving for 8-year-old Kaydence Dorethy. The Upstate star is growing her love for music, and she's got a new tool to help her out.

"It was my first real concert," Dorethy said.

Dorthey's mother, Heather Luther, is the one who took her to the concert. Dorethy's first gift came from country music artist Hunter Hays, which was a guitar pick. When Braid Paisley came out on stage; Dorthey has her birthday sign high in the air.

"I was just quiet, waiting for him to see it," Dorethy said.
