ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4)— The Marshall Project and St. Louis Public Radio have partnered on a project honoring homicide victims.
“ Remember Me ,” a community-centered art installation project, highlights six homicide victims whose families still do not have closure on who murdered their loved one.
Data compiled by the Marshall Project shows more than half of St. Louis’ roughly 2,000 homicides from 2014 to 2023 remain unsolved.
The project teamed up with local artist Cbabi Bayoc to help highlight the victims.
“I think it is a gift to me to be a part of something so needed and so special,” Bayoc told First Alert 4. “You get humble, it is not just about me, yeah, I am able to use my talent to do something, but there is a bigger purpose.”
