BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) -- The family of a man killed in a car crash on Interstate 20/59 in Bessemer is asking for help to find justice.

Terence Summers Jr. was killed when his car struck a large metal object on the highway in March, according to Bessemer police. At a press conference Friday morning, the Summers family made a plea to the public.

“We just asking anyone with information about it. Just come on out, because we hurt. His kids are hurting. They didn't deserve this,” remarked Terence Summers Sr.

Summers Jr. was a father of three who died when his car hit a 10-foot piece of chain that somehow ended up in the middle of I-20/59.

Attorney Daniel Brown is representing the family and says the chain was being transported when it fell into the roadway.
