While the series finale didn’t go as planned, the Yankees at least got back in the win column in their three-game set with the Twins, taking the first two. As they wrapped up that homestand, it’s now time for them to head back out on the road, and that starts tonight in St. Louis.

This evening, the Yankees will play the first of an interleague series against the Cardinals, out under the arch in St. Louis. The Cardinals come in exactly even at 61-61, but that’s good enough for them to still be just a couple games back of the last NL Wild Card.

Tonight in the opener, Luis Gil will take the mound for the Yankees. After struggling in his series debut, Gil was much better in his second go-round, striking out seven and holding the Astros to two runs in 5.1 innings. As always with him, tonight
