A person was taken into custody after a shooting on SEPTA's Broad Street Line on Friday evening, according to a spokesperson with the transit agency.
The shooting happened on a Broad Street Line train at Broad Street and Girard Avenue on Aug. 15 in Philadelphia, officials said.

One person was shot and has been taken to a nearby hospital to be treated, officials reported.
According to the SEPTA spokesperson, the alleged shooter claimed self defense as officers took him into custody.
