LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A Louisville man admitted to his role in a road rage shooting that left a little girl paralyzed.

Jonathan Rivera pleaded guilty to five counts of wanton endangerment.

In July 2023, Rivera, Edward Sark, and Shelby Bisconer were riding with a group of motorcyclists on Interstate 65 when there was an altercation with an SUV.

Police say the group fired multiple shots at the SUV, with one from Sark hitting 6-year-old Onyx Sands.

The shooting left Sands paralyzed from the waist down.

Sark and Bisconer are set to stand trial in September.

Rivera is expected to receive five years probation when he is sentenced in October. He is also awaiting sentencing on a federal weapons charge.
