CLAYTON — Two Jewish groups are offering a $30,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people responsible for an arson and suspected hate crime incident in Clayton on Aug. 5.

The move was announced Friday by the Anti-Defamation League and the Jewish Federation of St. Louis.

"This apparent arson attack in our community is horrific and terrifying," said Jordan Kadosh, the ADL's Heartland regional director. "We need to send a clear message that antisemitic hate crimes are unacceptable, have no place in Missouri and will be punished to the fullest extent of the law."

In the incident, three burning vehicles were discovered in the 7500 block of Westmoreland Avenue and antisemitic graffiti was left behind at the scene, police said.
