ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Missouri is getting closer to implementing sports betting throughout the state.

Voters legalized sports gaming last year, and Friday the Missouri Gaming Commission announced standalone licenses for sportsbooks DraftKings and Circa Sports, with more to come.

But Missourians won’t be able to bet for more than two months.

“I like to bet on things,” said Cason Johnson.

For Cardinals fans like Cason Johnson, sports betting allows him to get more into the sports he loves.

“Get to know players, pay attention to more stats,” said Cason Johnson.

And while some don’t care:

“I’m not a gambler so I don’t bet,” said Derek Johnson.

Others say if they could legally do it in Missouri, they’d be making bets before and during the game.
