GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Grove City Community Library is in a difficult financial position, but has managed to get by and will at least last throughout the year.
Being fully funded by donations, the library has been difficult to financially maintain for years. However, the difficulty spiked when the former director was accused of and charged with stealing approximately $26,000 from the institution.
According to Scott Amon, the Interim Director, the incident caused a loss in community donations, which has caused the library significant financial stress.
But as of Friday, Amon says that things have improved for the time being. Initially, they didn't believe they would make it through 2025, but now they should be able to make it through the end of the year at least.
