ROCHESTER, Minn. — A highly anticipated back-to-school block party is set for Saturday, aiming to ease the financial burden on families in the community. Organizers plan to distribute more than 500 backpacks and over 200 pairs of shoes, along with hygiene supplies.

This event, now in its fifth year, is the result of months of planning and is supported by the generosity of donors and sponsors who recognize the importance of education.

In addition to essential supplies, attendees can look forward to food, fun games, activities, and even free haircuts for children. The event will take place at Martin Luther King Park from noon to 4:30 p.m.
