Detours will be in place beginning Friday when the freeway ramps between eastbound Loop 101 and Interstate 17 in north Phoenix will be closed for about two weeks to replace a section worn concrete pavement, state transportation officials said.
The eastbound Loop 101 ramps to I-17 are scheduled to be closed at 12:30 a.m. Friday and reopen by 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, ahead of Labor Day weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Detours include exiting eastbound Loop 101 at 35th Avenue and traveling north to eastbound Deer Valley Road to reach northbound I-17. Drivers also can travel south on 35th Avenue to eastbound Union Hills Drive to reach southbound I-17.
