LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A nasty email chain between a Henderson city employee and a deputy police chief reveals a power struggle at the top — and outside — of the chain of command of the police department, shining a light on a rarely-seen force riddled with dysfunction. Those emails ultimately resulted in the scrubbing of both an internal affairs investigation and its related files.
The emails, obtained by the 8 News Now Investigators, detail a request by then-Deputy Chief Jonathan Boucher and Assistant City Manager Lisa Corrado about the validity of Boucher's initiation of an internal affairs complaint. Boucher alleged that an officer, the head of the police union at the time, lied to the state legislature during testimony in May. Both Boucher and the officer, Shawn Thibeault, retired in 2025
