ATLANTA. (WILX) - A pair of former Michigan State football players are both looking to earn roster spots on their teams. In the Tennessee-Atlanta preseason game on Friday night, both Kendell Brooks and Nate Carter took a step closer in that direction.
Brooks is a defensive back for the Titans and played at Michigan State in 2021 and 2022 after transferring from North Greenville. In the first quarter, Brooks picked off Easton Stick’s pass and returned it 53 yards for a touchdown. On top of the pick-six, he added a tackle before being taken out.
Carter was a running back at MSU in 2023 and 2024. After he went undrafted following his senior season, he elected to sign a deal with the Falcons. Carter highlighted his night with a 43-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and finished the game
