ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Think Big, which helps minority-based entrepreneurs grow, launched its 815 Day Mixer during black business month on Friday.
"It just feels really good to be able to celebrate Black Business Month and help small businesses as well as like our performance, our performers showcase their talent," shared Think Big's Chief Program Officer Khay Horton.
The non-profit helps minority-based business owners grow. At the mixer, alumni entrepreneurs of Think Big got to feature their businesses and connect with the community.
"I feel great and blessed," said Melody Harris.
Harris is one of several business owners at the Mixer and an alumnus of Think Big. She is the owner of Gabby's Goodies, who enrolled in Think Big in 2021 to improve her bakery.
