OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - At Jack C. Fisher Park in Owensboro, you might expect the usual sights like the gloves, cleats, and of course a couple of dingers here and there.
What you might not have expected to see is the incredible energy, hustle, and fierce competition from women who have lived through eight decades of life.
“I wish I had the energy they have. I do not have half the energy a lot of them have got,” said Lindle Keown, a Butler County native who traveled to Owensboro to watch a family member compete.
Four teams from Ohio, Florida, Tennessee and Virginia traveled to the Bluegrass State to compete in this weekend’s tournament, hosted by the Tournament Players Senior Softball Association (TPSSA).
