DAVIESS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - Deputies in Daviess County say they are investigating an assault that happened Wednesday in Whitesville

Deputies say it was in the 11000 block of Highway 54.

They say a victim was found and taken to the hospital.

Crime scene detectives collected evidence that will be sent to a KSP crime lab.

Several agencies were involved, including AMR Ambulance Service, Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, Daviess County Fire Department, Whitesville Fire Department, Forensic Investigations Units, Kentucky State Police, and the Owensboro Police Department.

Officials say extra patrols have been scheduled for the City of Whitesville, and the public is being asked to share any information they may have about this case.
