JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — One person was arrested following a four-hour SWAT standoff in a Jeffersonville homicide investigation on Friday.
A heavy police presence could be seen in the 3000 block of Callaway Drive, just off Charlestown Pike, around noon.
The Jeffersonville Police Department (JPD) said officers were initially dispatched to the 1700 block of Summerlin Place just before 10 a.m. on a report of an "unresponsive, unconscious man" inside a home.
JPD Detective Sam Moss confirmed late Friday night officers found a headless body at Summerlin Place.
WHAS11 crews on the scene at Summerlin Place saw police tape covering a home's entry way door.
Within 20 minutes, investigators learned of a person of interest, who Moss later confirmed to be Bryce Winnecke, and found him outside a home
