LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is critical condition after a shooting in St. Matthews Saturday morning.

According to St. Matthews Assistant Chief Tony Cobaugh, Police arrived at the Jamestown at St. Matthews apartment complex just before 11 a.m. on a reported shooting.

Withing three minutes of the call officers arrived on scene. According to Assistant Chief Cobaugh, a man and a woman were standing outside of the apartment where the shooting happened with their hands up. They said that someone was inside the apartment who had been shot and was in need of medical assistance.

When officers entered the apartment they found a man who had been shot multiple times. EMS arrived on scene to help perform life-saving measures before transporting him to University Hospital.
