Protesters gathered to voice their concerns to one of the property managers
Dozens of tenants from three Nottingham properties are mounting a campaign against their landlords after they were all served with section 21 "no-fault" evictions. Labour MP for Nottingham East, Nadia Whittome , has urged the landlords responsible to effectively withdraw the eviction notices due to the vulnerable nature of some of the residents.
In addition to this, the MP has called for the outlawing of section 21 notices, which are due to be abolished in the Renter's Rights Bill later this year. As the bill hasn't yet been pushed through Parliament, these evictions are still lawful, yet the residents claim it risks putting some vulnerable tenants in a dire situation.
