UNION, Ky. (WXIX) - Clients of S.M.A.R.T. Dog School in Union, Kentucky, gathered Friday to share their frustrations after the sudden closing of the school left many with empty promises.

Paying anywhere between $500 and $4,000, clients like Anke Tieke said they were promised lifetime training for their dogs.

“This is a lifetime program, this is why we sign up,” Tieke said. “I would have never spent that much money knowing that this place would close down. Now we’re out almost three thousand dollars and nothing to show for it.”

The owner posted on the school’s Facebook Wednesday that stated the school was closing, effective immediately.
