BRAZOS VALLEY, Texas (KBTX) - Officials from Brazos Valley nonprofit organizations Elevate Ukraine and the Arlene Campbell Humanitarian Foundation say the ongoing conflict in Ukraine isn’t always portrayed accurately.

CEO and President of Elevate Ukraine Radu Filip told KBTX, “The reality on the ground is completely different what we see in the news... The nights are long, full of terror, and it wears on you. But as the Ukrainian told me, we are tired of being strong, yet they keep going because they know that the so-called peace under Russia would be worse than death.”

Lena Denman is the founder of the Arlene Campbell Humanitarian Foundation and recently returned from an aid trip.
