MINNEAPOLIS -- Dillon Dingler paced the Tigers’ offense with a two-run single and an RBI double at the plate, and guided Charlie Morton through six scoreless innings to earn his first victory as a Tiger, leading Detroit to a 7-0 win over the Twins on Friday night at Target Field.

The Tigers’ third straight victory, combined with a Guardians loss to Atlanta, extended Detroit’s lead in the American League Central to 7 1/2 games over Cleveland . The Tigers have won 12 of their past 18 games since dropping 12 out of 13 last month.
