WILLIAMSPORT, P.A. (KELO) - Sioux Falls won its first game at the Little League World Series on Thursday in a 2-0 victory over Pennsylvania.
The South Dakota team got off to a quick 2-0 start in the opening game against the Uwchlan Township of Pennsylvania and never looked back.
"We like being the away team because we like scoring first," left fielder Camden Tycz said. "Scoring runs and putting the pressure on the pitcher in the later innings."
"That's our team, right there," head coach Ryan Vavruska said. "We don't rely on one particular player and we haven't through the entire regional. Our entire lineup from top to bottom, it's tough to make our lineup."
