AUGUSTA — A downtown Augusta craft beer taproom has closed its doors after 10 years in business in the CSRA.
Tip Top Taps inside the JB White’s Building in downtown Augusta owner Marty Kroger said that the taproom is now closed and the last day it was in business was Aug. 10.
Kroger, who is 70, said he felt like it was time for him to retire and he wants to spend more time with his wife.
"It's time for me to get put of the business and let a younger man have it," he said.
The business was previously located in Evans from 2015 to 2022 and was a craft beer growler shop in which people could sample and bring home craft beers. The business moved to the downtown location in January 2024.
