BOISE, Idaho — Blaine County voters will decide on a $3.85 million supplemental levy in November, which the Blaine County School Board said is needed to cover a budget shortfall.

During a Thursday night meeting, the board unanimously voted in favor of placing the multi-million two-year levy on the November ballot. If passed, it would replace the district's current levy, which expires this winter.

Blaine County Superintendent Jim Foudy previously told KTVB the district could not balance this year's budget and attributed the multi-million-dollar deficit to inflation and the state's shift from enrollment-based to attendance-based funding.
