It's Football Friday! High school football has kicked off the 2025 season in Florida, even if the games don't count toward the record books yet.

We've still got another week to go before wins and losses start adding up. But there are still plenty of appetizing preseason games to watch from Miami and Tampa up through Orlando to Jacksonville and Tallahassee, where Florida High and Godby actually did play a regular-season game Aug. 14. (And who knows: The proper Week 1 could be undone by Hurricane Erin .)
