MACON, Ga. — The lights were bright across Central Georgia on Friday night, as high school football and Football Friday Night made their return.
Several teams like Perry, Stratford, Peach County and Fitzgerald dominated their opponents. However, a lot of teams like Warner Robins, Tattnall and Central struggled in Week 1.
Northeast and Dublin, who made the state championship and playoff semifinals, respectively, each lost the first game of the year. Dublin didn’t lose a game all year in the regular season 2024, but couldn’t repeat that performance this season.
Still, it’s early and each team has plenty of time to turn things around and make this season a great one.
After a stellar start to the year, here’s a full recap of the season opener.
