PHILADELPHIA — The Browns' big names all were to be on the sideline at Lincoln Financial Field in team-issued T-shirts and shorts. So were the heavy hitters for the Philadelphia Eagles .

Those players had gotten their reps in earlier in the week during a pair of joint practices . That left the Aug. 16 preseason game to be played by a few players who could find their way into the two-deep for either team.

Mostly, though, it was for players trying to find their way onto the 53-man roster . For those players, it was as good a chance as they were going to get throughout the preseason.
