YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. – Farms in the Lower Valley of Yakima County have been dealing with a spate of thefts since the end of May, with thieves targeting radiators from wind machines.

There is some relief for the community as the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office announced that a suspect is now in custody.

The suspect, a 35-year-old man, faces a series of charges. These include five counts of first-degree theft, six counts of second-degree theft and one count in the third degree. Additionally, a charge for trafficking stolen property in the first degree is being recommended to the county prosecutor.

The total estimated theft and damages in these incidents amount to more than $50,000.
