LONGVIEW, Wash. (KPTV) - The suspect in a deadly stabbing in Washington was arrested in Los Angeles and is now set to be extradited.

He is wanted for the murder of a woman and the attempted murder of a man inside a Longview home. FOX 12 spoke with the woman’s family about their journey on how they are working to heal.

A Longview family was shaken by tragedy just days ago when 64-year-old Dawn Peters was murdered in her home.

“She was my whole life, I mean, she would do so much for me,” said Dawn’s husband, Duane Peters. “I mean, I miss her dearly, and it’s just so hard.”

She was found stabbed along with her 73-year-old brother-in-law, Andrew Peters, who said he took on the killer and knew it could be a fight to make it out alive.
