From two lambs to flocks of sheep
Since starting his woolly endeavor a decade ago, Robert Andrews Jr. had significantly expanded the scope of his operation, dubbed New Liberty Wool
. His son Kyle, also a Marine Corps veteran, has played a substantial role as well. Currently, the father and son duo utilize their flock of several hundred sheep to graze large landscapes and produce wool pellets. Andrews’ wife also handmakes soaps and lotion from sheep milk. The wool pellets are a point of excitement for Andrews, as they are made with “waste wool” that would otherwise be trashed by him and other shepherds.
