PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles is looking for community members to contribute their perspectives by serving on an advisory board, commission or committee.

Interested individuals must submit their applications by noon Aug. 22 to be considered during the first review, according to a press release.

The city has a variety of advisory boards, commissions and committees.

From beautification programs to public safety services, the advisory groups offer an opportunity for individuals to weigh in on a range of issues.

Advisory group members are appointed by the city council and volunteer their time to serve the community.

Each advisory group is unique in its number of members, roles, duties and term lengths. Terms of office vary between one and four years.
