Funding for these marketing support program grants comes from Brevard County's 5% tourist development tax on hotel room, vacation rentals and other short-term rentals.

The vote at the County Commission's Aug. 12 meeting confirms the unanimous recommendations of the advisory , which voted on the grants at its July 23 meeting.

The marketing support program is designed to provide marketing support or other financial support for event-related expenses to events and year-round programming for eligible cultural and sports events.
