KAUAI — The Senate Ways and Means, or WAM, Committee visited Kauai on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of its biennial Neighbor Island Tour. The tour aims to highlight the ongoing developments of each island and gather information on community concerns, as well as how government and non-government organizations plan to address them.
While here, the group met with various government agencies and community leaders to discuss and receive updates on the development of Hawaii’s latest food and product innovations, healthcare systems, education and workforce development pathways, biosecurity efforts, and language access.
A complete 20-page summary of the group’s destinations and findings can be accessed through the website https://bit.ly/47wCzaU.
