ABC 33/40 news anchor Brenda Ladun announced her retirement on Friday. While she is stepping away from the news business, Ladun said she will stay connected to fans in another way.
During her time on the anchor desk, Ladun celebrated the birth of her three boys and fought breast cancer twice. She was with ABC 33/40 for 29 years and anchored at several other stations before coming to Birmingham.
"I want to thank you for inviting me into your home each night and your heart," Ladun said.
Ladun's retirement begins in two weeks. At that time, she and her husband, Bill, will begin an adventure traveling. She invited her fans to stay connected on social media to come along.
