Some Saturday morning notes after the Dodgers snapped their four-game losing streak to pull back into a first-place tie in the National League West on Friday night.

Mookie Betts is having the worst season of his Hall of Fame career, which he has been quite open about in the last week or so. Rowan Kavner at Fox Sports was the latest to write about the change in mindset adopted by Betts.

Betts was also a guest Friday on the Baseball Bar-B Cast on Yahoo Sports with Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman, and during the interview elaborated a bit on his season.

“Going through this year, looking up and seeing that you’re nowhere near on track for your goals, it’s disheartening. It really sucks,” Betts said on the podcast. “Especially when your whole career you’ve gotten pretty close to your goals,
