OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - More heat and humidity is expected this weekend with highs in the mid and upper 90s and enough humidity to push the heat index up near 110° on Saturday then 105° on Sunday. Heat Advisory continues on Saturday for everyone until 8 PM. The advisories could be extended to Sunday.

Winds will also be breezy today from the south gusting up to 30 mph. The southerly winds are bringing in the heat and humidity.

Watch for storm chances by Sunday evening that would hopefully cut into the heat a little for the early part of next week. More storm chances are in the forecast Monday & Tuesday too but at this point there doesn’t look to be all that great of a severe threat.

A marginal risk (Level 1) has been issued for areas north of the metro for both late Sunday and Monday.
